What is CJC-1295?

CJC-1295 is a synthetic analog of growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH). In research, a long-acting form of CJC-1295 raised growth hormone (GH) and IGF-1 in healthy adults while still allowing pulsatile GH secretion.

It is not the same as injecting growth hormone itself, and it is not FDA-approved as a branded drug for anti-aging, body composition, or athletic recovery. At Vita Bella, CJC-1295 is prescribed only after licensed provider review of goals, labs, and risk.

How it may work

GHRH analogs act on the pituitary to support the body’s own GH release. Downstream IGF-1 and recovery/metabolic pathways may change if GH signaling increases.

DAC vs no DAC

You may see “CJC-1295 with DAC” (Drug Affinity Complex) and “CJC-1295 without DAC,” sometimes called Mod GRF 1-29. DAC extends circulating half-life; without DAC the analog is shorter-acting.

Compounded products are not interchangeable by name alone. Your pharmacy label and clinician instructions specify which analog you received — do not assume a forum protocol matches your vial.

Potential uses

Clinicians may discuss CJC-1295 for recovery, body-composition support, sleep-related recovery, or age-related decline in GH signaling when appropriate.

It is not a substitute for diagnosing sleep apnea, thyroid disease, testosterone deficiency, or other root causes of fatigue. Your provider may compare it with sermorelin or tesamorelin.

Candidate assessment

Candidates are typically adults with clinician-guided recovery or wellness goals after evaluation.

Active malignancy concerns, uncontrolled diabetes, pregnancy, or other red flags may exclude therapy.

Labs & evaluation

Evaluation may include IGF-1, glucose or HbA1c, and other markers your clinician selects — timing matters for interpretation.

Follow-up labs help decide whether to continue, adjust, or switch to another GH-axis option.

Forms & dosing

CJC-1295 is commonly used as a subcutaneous injectable. Frequency depends on whether the analog includes DAC and on your clinician’s protocol.

Reconstitution, units, and schedule come from your pharmacy label — not internet “CJC/ipa” charts.

Injection guidance

Side effects

Possible effects include injection-site redness, flushing, headache, water retention, or tingling in the hands.

Report unusual swelling, severe joint pain, vision changes, or signs of high blood sugar promptly.

Discuss cancer history, diabetes risk, and concurrent peptides or hormones before starting.

Quality compounding and clinician monitoring are essential. Research-chemical vials sold online are not the same as a pharmacy-prepared, clinician-directed product.

FAQs

Is CJC-1295 the same as HGH?

No. CJC-1295 is a GHRH analog that may stimulate your pituitary to release growth hormone. Direct HGH replaces the hormone itself. Your clinician chooses based on goals and labs.

CJC-1295 vs sermorelin vs tesamorelin — which should I use?

All three relate to GHRH/GH-axis signaling but have different half-lives, evidence, and use cases. Tesamorelin has an FDA-approved indication in a specific HIV-related fat-distribution setting. Sermorelin and CJC-1295 are discussed in compounded, clinician-guided protocols. Your provider matches the analog to labs and goals.

Do I need ipamorelin with CJC-1295?
