What is TB-500?

TB-500 is a synthetic peptide fragment related to thymosin beta-4 (Tβ4), a naturally occurring actin-binding protein studied for cell migration and wound biology. It is not two names for BPC-157.

TB-500 is not FDA-approved for musculoskeletal injury or athletic recovery. At Vita Bella it is discussed only after licensed provider review of goals, history, and compounding availability.

How it may work

Thymosin beta-4 sequesters G-actin and has been studied in wound-healing and cell-migration models. TB-500 is marketed as a related synthetic fragment; most of the published biology is about Tβ4 itself, not every compounded TB-500 vial.

Human evidence for TB-500 as a recovery drug remains limited compared with physical therapy, load management, and FDA-approved treatments. Your provider will set expectations accordingly.

TB-500 vs BPC-157

BPC-157 is a 15–amino-acid gastric pentadecapeptide. TB-500 is related to thymosin beta-4. They are different sequences, different research histories, and not interchangeable milligram-for-milligram.

Potential uses

Clinicians and patients commonly discuss TB-500 in soft-tissue recovery, flexibility, or post-training repair contexts — always inside an individualized plan.

It is not a license to train through a complete tear, infection, or uninvestigated swelling.

Candidate assessment

Candidates are typically adults with clear recovery goals who have been evaluated for contraindications and realistic timelines.

Active infection, uncontrolled systemic disease, pregnancy, or malignancy concerns may make peptide therapy inappropriate until resolved.

Medical evaluation

Share injury history, surgeries, current training load, and other peptides or NSAIDs. Your clinician decides whether TB-500, BPC-157, pentadeca arginate, rehab alone, or a combination is the next step.

Athletes subject to drug testing should know that WADA lists thymosin-β4 and its derivatives (including TB-500) on the Prohibited List.

TB-500 is typically discussed as a subcutaneous injectable with individualized reconstitution and schedule.

TB-500 is a synthetic fragment related to thymosin beta-4, not the full native protein. Papers about Tβ4 do not automatically describe every compounded TB-500 product.

Should I use TB-500, BPC-157, or both?

That is a clinical decision. They are different peptides. Your Vita Bella provider may use one, both, pentadeca arginate, or neither if rehab and load management come first.

Is TB-500 allowed in tested sport?

WADA lists thymosin-β4 and derivatives such as TB-500 as prohibited. If you compete, talk with your sport’s medical staff before any peptide protocol.
