Can You Start TRT Without Low Testosterone?

Prescription TRT is for deficiency, not performance enhancement.

Can you start TRT without low testosterone?

Not as standard medical care. Starting testosterone when levels are not low is closer to non-indicated androgen use: you still suppress sperm and LH/FSH, still need hematocrit checks, and still take on labeled risks.

Vita Bella does not treat “optimization” of already-normal levels as the same thing as replacing a deficiency. If someone offered you TRT without labs, that is a reason to walk away.

FAQs

Do some clinics start TRT with normal labs anyway?

Some marketing-driven clinics do. That is not aligned with Endocrine Society or AUA-style evaluation. Ask what diagnosis is being treated.
