How quickly does testosterone increase after starting TRT?

Serum levels rise as soon as the medicine is absorbed. Cypionate/enanthate injections typically produce a measurable increase within 24–72 hours, with a peak then a decline until the next dose. Daily gels usually show a more even pattern after several consistent application days.

Feeling better takes longer than the first lab bump. Do not redraw testosterone 12 hours after your first shot and declare the protocol a failure or a home run.

When should the first on-treatment lab be drawn?

Follow the order: often a trough before an injection after several weeks on a stable dose, or a product-specific window for gel. Wrong timing is the most common reason a “too high” or “too low” result is misleading.
